Mount Fuji
 | Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan at 3776 m (12388 ft).Along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku, it is one of Japan's "Three Holy Mountains" (Sanreizan). An active volcano that last erupted in 170708, Mount Fuji is just west of Tokyo, and can be seen on a clear day. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers. |
Climbing Mt. Fuji Fujisan
 | Watch our climb up the Subashiri route on Mt. Fuji (Fuji san). We began from the town of Gotemba in the Shizuoka prefecture of Japan. We left town on a bus bound for the fifth station, where all climbs up this route of Fuji begin. We brought a small amount of food and some warm clothing for the freezing temperatures at the top. After summiting, we descended to one of the huts along the route to catch a few hours of sleep and to see the best sunrise ever. EPIC! MT FUJI! How to do it the easy way!
 | -Japan Travel TV here- www.youtube.com Took me too long to edit this video. Thanks all you guys for waiting! I might have drifted off too far to the left with cinematic music. I edited the whole thing with iMovie, and I found out that editing a movie with over an hour of original FULL HD footage will kill the software. The editing became too insane. So I learned Final Cut Pro and started Japan Travel TV! So far I filmed Akihabara Maid Cafe & Maid Hair Salon Akihabara Robot Center Edo Castle Narita Airport Guide (finishing editing as I type) How to exchange business cards and Tokyo Night in Shinjuku, where Blade Runner's Neo-Tokyo concept was first conceived. Oh, and I filmed a Honda Dog event and they agreed to let me use their cars when ever I want. Sweet! Anyways I hope you enjoy this movie! I will do a more comprehensive video next year when the season reopens! The movie was shot with Panasonic gh-1. Here's where you want to stay on Mt. Fuji when disaster struck. A Japanese national fell from the summit of Japan's tallest peak. After unknowingly capturing the fall on video, Petty Officer 1st Class Corey Baughman, Petty Officer 3rd Class Adam Andryc, and Petty Officer 1st Class Dillon Mudloff sprung into action and heroically saved the man's life on what became one of the deadliest days on the mountain in recent memory. |
