Quake done 100% Quickest
 | For more information and download links, own-age.com Quake done 100% Quickest is a 100% completion speedrun of the game Quake by id Software. The speedrun was performed by members of the Quake done Quick team and this movie was put together by Jozsef "j0zzz" Szalontai. I've had to remove the intro and outro because of some codec problems with YouTube. ----- 'Quake done 100% Quickest' is a run through all of Quake on Nightmare skill, going through the levels as fast as possible, killing every single monster and finding every single secret in every single map of Quake. The running time is 48:00. HOW THE RUN WAS RECORDED: We recorded each demo separately, on skill 3 (Nightmare), of course without any cheating. To start with the correct stats we ended the previous level with, we used a QuakeC patch that allowed us to select the statistics we started with. There are no weapons in the higher levels, because you should have them already from previous ones. And we did it by connecting single demos together because the final product is a lot more interesting that way and entertaining, and we could include some very cool tricks that we couldn't do had we recorded it in one sitting. Italy PM Heckled During Visit to Quake Site
 | Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti on Tuesday (May 22) toured areas in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy that was hit by a strong earthquake. Thousands of people have been sleeping in tents and cars as more than 100 aftershocks continue to rock the area hit by a magnitude 6.0 earthquake that killed seven people and inflicted heavy damage to centuries-old cultural sites. Monti viewed damage to the town hall in Sant' Agostino, miraculously still standing despite collapsed walls. As he viewed the damage several women shouted at Monti. The women said they were against Monti's austerity package and were not convinced that wealthy people were paying sufficient taxes and said they felt the weight of the austerity measures were falling on the shoulders of those least able to pay for them. Upon his return to Rome later on Tuesday, Monti promised more help for the northern regions stricken by the tremors, saying it was vital to restore what are some of the most productive parts of the country. Monti, who cut short a visit to the United States to return home to cope with the aftermath of the earthquake and a school bomb attack in southern Italy, paid tribute to the strength of the Italians facing tough times. |

Rage Easter Eggs - Quake
 | QUAKE Room To locate this room, you'll have to search the Wasted Garage for three hidden buttons. Don't do this one while completing the mission to find parts for the Buggy, return on your own later. The buttons do not have an onscreen prompt, you'll know they've been activated when you hear a QUAKE-like sound effect. 1. Starting from the button of the building, the first button is on the second floor. Run past where you had previously found the distributor cap for your buggy, and look for a nightstand. Look beneath the drawer to find the first button. 2. Moving up, the next button is on the third floor, in a small room behind a filing cabinet. The button is facing the wall, behind the cabinet ? you'll need to crouch and press against the wall to see the button. 3. The last button is on the fourth floor. Find a red workbench, and look on the wall just left of it. Crouch and interact to activate the button. 4. Return to the second floor to find the room. In one deadend hallway, you'll find a QUAKE symbol painted on one of the walls. Run up the steps and enter the portal ? inside you'll find a rare piece of treasure. |
