Developed and Published by Square 1995 Chrono Trigger is one of those games everyone loves despite the fact that it's an rpg and rpgs aren't everyone's cup of tea. There's nothing not to love about the game. Anything you might have a problem with IN an rpg is not present in this game. Combat is in active time, enemies are not random encounters that you can't even see but rather flesh and blood hostiles right there in your line of sight. The story is not just a generic save the world from bad group of heroes formula. Chrono trigger has so many twists and turns it ends up having more than a dozen different endings. Yeah, I mean 2 or 3 is already spoiling the player, even by today's standards, but, endings in the double digits!? This game's creators spared absolutely no expense. One of the great things about this game is it's not afraid to rock your world. Main characters just straight up die in this game, they don't even have to of course since this game has more plot branching than a day time soap opera that's been out since the 60s. Chrono Trigger has a variety of playable characters the main of which is Crono, the silent protagonist ginger Rastafarian samurai.
