The inventor is Vietnamese. But I assumed that he made the robot Japanese because of his fascination with Japanese culture.? The optical recognition software is quite impressive.

@chosenone234 no ur stupid that doesn't mean the guy is japanese,? we're talkin about the robot here, and the japanese have invested muc more than any other country in the world in research, japanesetechnology is one of my channels on youtube.

Just want to say it's nice to see civilized comments on Aiko Project (so far). So, kudos to the people here! The other articles/links/etc are usually sex-oriented/gender pride/chauvinism/etc. Amusingly, this video is about the brain/processor/whatev? and the others is about the *gynoid*. I've learned two things today; 1)droid development is reaching uncanny valley and 2)a lot of people are still shallow (well,duh).
