I love this song sooo much!!! Everytime I hear this, I feel like a bird....... <3 I saw this movie few times I? never understood the end. Could anyone tell me what happend or why ? :)

@outcast264 Continuation from my last comment. So his despair could end but his clone was different as you can see he dint succumb to madness. its a really confusing story a lot of things get explained like in the last 30 minutes of the movie. it just takes a lot of attention to understand it.?

@outcast264 Continuation from my last comment. when he dies he tried to change something by taking on the Teacher the enemy Ace he died showing Crazy eye girl that some Kildren can shape their own lives. Because some Kildren know that they might die today and be someone else tomorrow they go as far as to do stupid things like committing suicide or deserting or other stupid stuff. Crazy eyes girl killed the guy that the main character was? cloned from because he asked her to kill him.

@outcast264 Continuation from my last comment. they have no reason to live since they are easily cloned and are implemented with false memories meaning that today you might be you and you die and next day you're you again but with different memories and stuff because. so it doesnt matter what they do their life is meaningless but the main character wants Crazy? eyes girl to realize that she can change something that she doesnt have to die that her life has meaning.

@outcast264 The Characters are Kildren, geneticly modified humans that dont grow old they are used for battle and if they die they are easily cloned the main character is a clone of the? guy that was stationed in the base before he got there. hes was in love with commander you know that chick with the crazy eyes that little girl that you see is his daughter that he had with the Crazy eyes chick the movie is pretty much about that these Kildren have no reason to live.

@pemfiri I think they all smoked because they knew they might die any day. It's basically their job to die. Probably explains all the? drinking too. just an opinion though.

The ending is indeed very very sag, too bad I wouldn't have? put the last part there....

The anime was dreadfully slow, what was with all the smoking !!! did the tobacco giants sponsor it ? anyways ....the song is? simply fantastic

The Sky Crawlers was? one of the best films I've seen in years

omg...brings memories back...The sky crawlers was A M A Z? I N G. In the beginning I though it was kinda boring, but then...when I started to understand it...SO GOOD!

why the end was so? ? why the movie finished like it i really felt suprised...

Oshii still has it, he keeps doing art and avoiding commercial success sometimes due to his artistic commitment, I abosolutely admire him and the music? by Kenji Kawaii always so moving and vital.
